Composite Fillings

One of the more common dental treatments that we perform at Savage Smiles Family & Cosmetic Dentistry is the composite filling.

In normal dental treatment, fillings are done to remove decay and replace the affected tooth structure. This dental treatment is called a filling because a new material fills the hole that the tooth decay left.

In today's dental health environment, most teeth are treated with bonded tooth colored composite resin fillings. If caught early enough, your cavities can be treated easily and painlessly by our dental staff. If not treated properly, tooth decay can lead to tooth pain and/or infection, and the tooth would need a more extreme dental procedure such as a root canal treatment or an extraction. If the area and amount of tooth decay is excessive, a crown, a cap of other dental procedure may be recommended.

At Savage Smiles, we work to get out in front of these issues instead of allowing them to become a more serious condition. Dr. Savage and his staff are committed to helping you eliminate unwanted dental costs and treatment by providing you with the best care available.
